UChessmaster Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 ok so, i decided to format my pc and made a folder with important stuff to a dvd, overal it was around 700 mb, so i burned it, formatted pc but when i check disc it says its only 2mb and only 7 pics and a power point files are in, meaning every folder is missing, you can see from the back of the cd a lot more than 2mb was burned, is there any way i can recover my files?
mmalves Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Use IsoBuster and check if it can see all the files/folders you've burned.
mmalves Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Open ImgBurn, switch to Read mode and paste here all the information shown on the right side.

mmalves Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Status: CompleteSize: 2,457,600 bytes Only those 2 MB were recorded to the disc. Unfortunately there's nothing to recover from this disc
dontasciime Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 You may also like to update your firmware on that drive as YS0N is early and the latest which matches more media and also fixes DVD-r leadin problems is YS0Z http://www.liteonit.eu/eu/DOWNLOADS/ODD/SH...re/DR16YS0Z.zip When you update make sure there is no media in drive and that the tray is closed and do not stop once it starts or switch off PC until it says completed and it asks to reboot, (reboot once finished even if it does not ask)

You could try CDRoller, i have recovered data from a few cd's and dvd's using it. http://www.cdroller.com/
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 There is nothing to recover. The data isn't unreadable, it's simply not there.
