innominate Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 it's happened in both nero and now in imgburn. the disc is recognizable through several other sources, but once i attempt to burn onto it it is no longer registered. the message "device not ready (medium not present)" can be read in the bottom-left corner of the window. anyone know what's going on there? here's the uneventful log, just in case: I 03:26:17 ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 started! I 03:26:17 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 03:26:17 Total Physical Memory: 2,096,624 KB - Available: 1,540,812 KB I 03:26:18 Initialising SPTI... I 03:26:18 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 03:26:18 Found 2 DVD-ROMs and 1 DVD
blutach Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 What media are you using and what is your burner? Regards
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 That status code/message comes from the drive, so it's the thing that thinks there's no disc.
innominate Posted June 21, 2008 Author Posted June 21, 2008 yeah, it's my drive. thanks for the replies, guys.
