Hello, i was trying to burn some back-ups of some xbox360 games. I have the *.iso & *.dvd files.

I read a lot of the tutorials on this an other boards, chose 2,4x for write speed (said 2,4x on the dvds).

Set the book mode to DVD+R

Did not need to set layer break because of the *.dvd file...?

I selected the "DVD+R DL Media EEPROM!" under "Lite-On", is this a mistake if i dont have a Lite-On dvd burner?

My dvd burner is a HL-DT-ST DVDRW GSA-S10N A100 (so it says in ImgBurn anyways :))

My computer is a dell xps m1330 and is supposed to have a Dual Layer burner

The DVDs are: "Imation - Double Layer, DVD+R DL, 240 min | 8,5 GB | 2.4x", The shop did not have verbatim but these were supposed to be just as good or better, and at least as expensive as verbatim <_<

After 32% of burning, i got and error message.

I hope someone have suggestions to the problem, and what i probably did wrong, before i start wasting more 7$ blanks :)

Your drive is an LG one, not LiteOn. ImgBurn handles the booktype stuff automatically so you don't need to worry about it.

There's an updated bios here for that drive:

You already know the rest. Ditch the Riteks and buy Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL (MIS - Made in Singapore).

If you can't find them in a store, buy online.

I very much doubt you'd even end up paying $2 per disc, let alone $7!
