callous Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Using Benq 1650, if burning a premade image I can overburn. But i find with the new imgburn, in write files and folders mode, I cannot overburn at all. Is this a burner limitation or a bug in the program?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 The burning code is the same no matter if you're burning an image or burning files. Post the log and maybe it'll help.
mmalves Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 The log is automatically saved each time you've used ImgBurn, and you can find the logs at Help/ImgBurn Logs
callous Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 Nope, no help folder was made when imgburn was installed!

The problem was reading the disc beyond the nominal capacity. I've found this thread over at CDFreaks Forum with overburning results of several different media, which you can compare to yours.
callous Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 Im fairly certain this media (verbatim mcc004) can overburn to 4630megs. But then this is another batch, dif than one I was testing.. So far I have tried 4640 megs that failed, then I tried 4585megs and that failed as well. 4585 should not have failed. It is a minor overburn. I guess the question is whether others are having the same problem I am having, or whether it's just me.
