lnjr Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Hello, I have used Eazy VCD to copy and convert a DVD to VCD format. Now I need to burn it to a CD-R. According to the instructions from EazyVCD I need to select the option Burn from Image or Open File and to select Disk at Once (DAO) not Track-at-Once (TAO). Can someone please tell me what special steps I need to do in order to burn the CD-R that way? I know how to copy a CD and then burn it to a new CD-R and I know how to burn a CD-R using an ISO since I also did that when I made a slipstream CD-R of my Windows XP Pro with the SP2 from nLite. But am not certain of how to go about ensuring that this CD-R is burned as Disk at Once and NOT Track at Once. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Very Much, lnjr
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 If it's in VCD format make sure you load the CUE file. Loading the ISO will NOT give you a proper VCD disc. The program defaults to using SAO/DAO so unless you've changed the 'Write Type' in the Settings (on the Write tab) to 'TAO' it'll be correct anyway. Other than that, just follow the 'how to burn an image file' guide in the Guides section of this forum.
lnjr Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Thanks for getting back to me and so Quickly too! When I converted the DVD to VCD using Eazy VCD I selected the options as follows: Encoding is XVCD and for the CD-R size I selected 1 CD-R so that it would in fact fit onto a CD-R (since I don't have a DVD burner - looking into getting an external one but not sure which one just yet since I just started looking). Anyway, in the output folder section I selected the BIN/CUE. There was a notation stating that if making an X(S)VCD you must turn off "standard VCD compliance". It also stated that if you output to a BIN/CUE Image, you will need to Select "burn from Image and to make sure you burn as Disk At Once. I now have a specific folder after converting the dvd to svcd for this process and there appear to be 2 what appear to be iso images - but when I right click and check the properties one states it is a BIN Image and the other is a CUE Image, an MPEG file, a text document named cell times and an EVT file. Do I just select the folder with all of this in it? Thanks Again, lnjr If it's in VCD format make sure you load the CUE file. Loading the ISO will NOT give you a proper VCD disc.
