I'm completely new at this whole DVD copying thing. I've made ISO and MDS files out of the DVDs that I need copied, and I've been trying to burn them onto DL Discs but I get an error when its verifying. I've scanned some forum topics and the like but due to the fact I've little to no knowledge of the terms and basically whats going on I'm having trouble figuring out what to do. I do know enough to realize that my discs aren't the best out there... I've only got these Memorex DVD+R DL discs. Is it solely because of the discs? I've been to four stores today and these are all they've got, so if possible I'd like to make do with what I have. Here's my log:

I 12:45:14 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!

I 12:45:14 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2)

I 12:45:14 Total Physical Memory: 2,095,180 KB - Available: 1,436,536 KB

I 12:45:14 Initialising SPTI...

I 12:45:14 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 12:45:34 Found 2 DVD-ROMs and 1 DVD

Well as you can see your drive and Imgburn are unable to read and verify the discs that have just been burnt. Ritek stopped making quality discs years ago and well before the availability of Dual Layer media.

If you are going to burn to DL discs you really need to get the Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (made in Singapore) ones...... I am not sure where you are in the world but if in the UK try www.svp.co.uk or in the US I think people use online retailers like:

http://www.supermediastore.com/

http://www.meritline.com/

If you still have a number of those Ritek DL's I would return them to the store as not fit for purpose.

Well, I used a different computer and everything's running perfectly. Sorry for the trouble.

I have to say, this program is fantastic. Thanks :)
