CheyneHicks Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Hi all, any help would be appreciated. I am trying to burn a 7GB .ISO file onto a Memorex DVD+R DL bank disc using a TS-L632D optical drive, which is DL capable. When I did the burn, it stopped at 50% and failed. I have attached the screen shot I received. Any thoughts? I have been in contact with Dell and they refereed me to this software to use to do the DL Burn, but it seemed to fail. Thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Buy Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL discs (MKM-001-00 dye, Made in Singapore), the others are rubbish by comparison.
CheyneHicks Posted September 18, 2008 Author Posted September 18, 2008 Ok I will get the Verbatim, hopefully its the Memorex disc not the Driver that is messing up when it tries to burn on the second layer, because it does burn half of it fine. Thank again.
mmalves Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 If that drive is on a Dell laptop, look at Dell's website in Support section for a firmware update (there should be at least DE04 available)
lfcrule1972 Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Nice that Dell are recommending ImgBurn nowadays....... they used to install Roxio crap on their PCs (they probably still do)......
