emdms Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 (edited) Hi, I have some MP3s and I'm trying to burn them to an audio CD. The question is, should I convert them to .wav first? I read Audacity's guide here and it recommends that you convert the MP3 files (which have various bit sizes and sample rates) to a universal 44100 Hz 16 bit stereo .wav first. Does burning the files as MP3 in ImgBurn make them be reencoded and lose quality? Basically, is there any reason to convert them to .wav first? Edited September 20, 2008 by emdms
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 No, there's not. You can just follow the Audio CD guide in the Guides forum.
