Hi, a few days ago i decided to download IMGburn. i burned 4 dvds with it and everything was fine. today i tried to burn another one but when it was verifying i got and I/O error. i dont have a clue how to deal with it. heres the log.

you mean i bought 50 tevion dvds for nothing?????

but why is it so they worked before. it just happened today. but the 4 dvds i burned the last day were fine and they were also tevion!

Try with the firmware update first, if that doesn't fix it then you'll need to buy verbatims.

 

Next time you buy discs, buy verbatims / taiyo yudens anyway.

 

The only way to be 'sure' is to try it. We make no promises here :)

Those Tevion discs use CMC MAG dye which doesn't have many friends here in the forum, the burn results are unreliable and I wouldn't burn anything to CMC MAG dye that you want to use again......

 

Verb and TY dye on the other hand is far better......

thanks to everyone, its working right now with the verbatim dvds, but i dont get why it worked before today with the tevion dvds ^^.

You pay for consistent quality...something the Tevion discs weren't giving you, but you'll find with Verbatim. Tevion probably outsources to different manufacturers, the discs you had before may have come from a different manufacturer using different dye etc.
