rifter128 Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 this has happend 4 times so far. i set imgburn to write at 4x and it will be fine till around 45% then for no reason it will speed up to max speed and ruin the disc. is there any reason why this would be happening?? Cynthia Posted November 9, 2008 Share Posted November 9, 2008 The supported write speeds with this writer for the discs you're using is these: I 19:27:08 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: MCC 03RG20) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x, 18x) So try to use some of these. 8x or 12x should give the best results. I've never seen a writer go crazy so in speed before. As you are using -R media you could try to test once with the option 'Test Mode' enabled, to see if it runs crazy then.
