sean_h_williams Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 I am no newb to imgburn just so you know. A few days ago my program started acting funny and I cannot select a file to burn. I can click the file and nothing at all happens. I unistalled and reinstalled to program but it still doesnt work. Does anybody know what may be causing this?
Cynthia Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, sean_h_williams! What type of file is you trying to select? (.iso or something else?) If you right click on the file - you should see the option like - 'Burn with ImgBurn' - does that work? Might be that the file association is broken. You could check the default ones in ImgBurns settings. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...ost&p=65057
sean_h_williams Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 Thank you for your reply. The way I burn is the right click the file and select 'burn with imgburn" and even that doestn work at this point. It doesnt give me an error or anything it just acts normal but there is no file selected when it opens IMGBURN. I am going nuts. I have done an unistall/reinstall and restored all defaults, any other ideas would be appreciated!
Cynthia Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 If you check mark the option 'Set ImgBurn as Default Application' in the above posted window and click 'OK' - does that help?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 So when you click the 'Browse for a file' button in the 'Source' box when you're in 'Write' mode the standard windows dialog box doesn't actually open? And when you right click an ISO and select 'Burn using ImgBurn' the program loads up ok (in Write mode) but no file is selected in the 'Source' box? Does anything get logged in the 'Log' window? What other software have you installed/updated in the past few days? Thing that work don't tend to break until something breaks them
