johndoes
Greetings all! I take backups of my AVIs in DVDs. The AVIs usually have long filenames. When I use Nero Express to write the disk, my stand-alone DVD player shows the filenames correctly. When I use ImgBurn, the filenames are shown in 8.3 style (Windows displays the filenames properly). I use the default settings in both Nero Express and ImgBurn. What must I change in ImgBurn so as to get the same results as Nero?
LIGHTNING UK!
Your player probably wants the Joliet file system so just make sure that's one of the ones present in the image/on the disc by changing the 'File System' option.

Is there a way to do some reverse engineering and check if the disks made by Nero have a Joliet file system?

johndoes
You are absolutely right (as usual) they have! Regardless of Nero, what settings should I use when I create Data DVD disks?
mmalves
The default settings are OK, no need to change anything besides filesystem, as your player doesn't support UDF as most do
