when i try to burn a DVD or CD i get a I/O error.

Here is my log:

I've never even seen that dye before, get yourself some decent Taiyo Yuden / Verbatim discs.

i have burned this disc before. And i tried differen types of CD's but if you think it that is the problem. I will try another type of disc...

 

any other suggestion if it still don't work?

Someone said the laser is broken...

There's no way to tell unless you try with media that's known to be 'good'.

 

If the verbs and/or taiyo yudens don't work, try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc and then try burning again.

 

If that still doesn't work I guess you'll need to speak with whoever supplied your machine.
