I was trying to burn a new backup disc because my old one broke, but it messed up on me. This is the same image I used before as well as the same kind of disc.

 

Here's my log:

Well, I will update, but I've been using Memorex for everything else and never had an issue. So I don't think my discs are necessarily the problem.

There's firmware 1.14 available for your burner (right-click and choose Save As/Save Target As). Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. If this doesn't help then changing media is your only option.

Always using Memorex doesn't mean anything. They're a brand name, not a manufacturer.

 

The dye they use for their discs could change every week and your drive/firmware doesn't like the one they're currently using - RITEK-S04-66.
