How do I burn just on the FIRST layer of a Double Layer disc please?

Hi all!

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for ImgBurn! It's totally amazing and I'm very grateful for all your hard work creating and updating the program! :D

I'm after some help please. I bought some Double Layer discs (Elite 8x +R) which wont verify when it starts to check the second layer so I was wondering if it's possible to JUST burn onto the FIRST layer? I can use them as single layer discs then instead of chucking 'em.

Sometimes when I've tried to write a iso image to a double layer disc and it'll fit onto a single layer disc, it does tell me 'it'll fit onto a single layer disc and asks me if I'd like to break from the norm and just to just the fist layer.' But it doesn't say that anymore. So is it possible for me to change any settings so that it'll burn onto the first layer of double layer disc at all please?

Any help would be VERY much appreciated!

Cheers!

You'd only get that if the image would actually fit on the first layer.

The layers on a DL disc are smaller than a normal single layer disc.

Thank you VERY much for replying, I really appreciate it!

I don't notice that the layers on a DL disc are smaller than a SL disc. What'll do is just use them to burn small image files onto the first layer.

Thanks again very much for the help, I'm very grateful to ya!

Cheers,

Paul
