What controller is the drive connected to? I have no idea, My mobo is a Nforce 2 lan party, so i'm guessing Nvidia? I attempted to burn onto some super cheap ridata media I think they were called and failed and just attempted a music burn on reliable discs and it failed with the message Windows Media Player Error Message Help You've encountered error message C00D11AB while using Windows Media Player. The following information might help you troubleshoot the issue.Cannot burn files to CD Windows Media Player cannot burn the selected files to the CD. To fix the problem, do one or more of the following: *Clean the disc and verify that it is not damaged. *Select a slower recording (write) speed for the CD burner (recorder). *Try a different brand of blank discs. *Quit other programs. ( E ) Might try googleing for that as your machine doesn't seem to recognize those blank discs your using to well I 14:31:51 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x) I 14:31:51 Write Speed: 2.4x Failing all else, perhaps your drive has gone south on you.

No, I tried searching for them recently but the DFI website was overhauled recently and found myself floundering in a sea of circular links and poorly translated mess. I'll try to find the most recent ones. EDIT, this is the information i have on the MOBO, DFI LANPARTY and here's some info my diagnostics picked up, Motherboard ID 01/25/2005-NF-CK804-6A61FD49C-00 Motherboard Name : something along the lines of Lanparty UT nf4 Ultra D Edited December 26, 2008 by Webbiscraphelphim
