Cynthia Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, unnormaldude68! Might be that this writer doesn't like this brand of media very well. A firmware update might help. I 12:24:37 Destination Device: [0:0:0] LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S BGS4 (E:) (ATA) Currently you have version BGS4, according to Lite-On the latest one is BSOY. http://www.liteonit.com/global/index.php?o...r&Itemid=75 If you update it: No disc in the tray Tray closed Restart the computer after the update
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Looks like an OEM model/firmware so you might have to employ some trickery to make BS0Y go on. Personally I'd ditch the media you're using anyway and get some Taiyo Yuden / Verbatim discs.
unnormaldude68 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) Wow thank you so much! That worked great. Thanks for the fast reply! @Lightning I did a little Google searching and I found just what I needed. Pretty simple. Thank you Edited January 11, 2009 by unnormaldude68
