hxall Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Alright, I'm new to this forum, although I have been using ImgBurn for about a year on my current PC with WinXP without any problems. I have just upgraded to Vista x64 Ultimate and upgraded ImgBurn to 2.4.2.0, when I try to burn an iso image to my DVD burner it gets stuck on synchronising cache. I have checked the FAQ's and searched this forum but haven't seen anything posted on this matter. A google search indicates others having similar problems with different drives & Vista 64. Only way to recover is to cancel the operation and use task manager to kill ImgBurn, then restart. The disc shows that it has not been finalized. The ImgBurn logs are pasted below. Again all worked fine with this setup (and same media) before Vista x64 upgrade. Any help would be appreciated... hxall Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Well, until I can get some help from LUK on this issue, I've installed a Vista 64 powertoy that burns iso's to CDs/DVDs, just tried it with the same iso image I was having difficulties with and worked great. For those who are having similar problems, it is ISO Recorder v3, freely available from http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm... not as nice as ImgBurn, but works on Vista 64.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 No idea then, sorry. ImgBurn is working just fine given the info the drive is reporting. Try it with DVD+R Reserve Track turned on. (It's only 1 more disc, right?! ) I assume you have tried installing the latest chipset drivers from the intel site? And if your controller is set to AHCI or RAID mode in the bios, make sure you install the latest Intel Matrix drivers off that site too.
