Why am i not able to erase the disc? Thanx for your answers!
mmalves Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Do you receive that same error message when you try a Full Erase on that disc?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 YL05 is the latest firmware. Buy a Verbatim BD-RE, they work ok on my one.
silentsonar Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 so you think its the Sony BD RE that causes the troubles? I have updated to the new firmware, but i cant format the disc... When i try a full erase it says: I/O error! Device:[3:0:0] HL-DT-ST-BD-RE GGW-H20L YL05 (E:) (ATA) ... interpretation: check condition .... interpretation: write (10) - sectors: 0 - 31 ... interpretation: cannot write medium - incompatible format so probably it`s the Sony BD RE...
