mmalves Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Try burning at 8x or 12x and see if it works. You might also want to try with better media, such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.
olhorobot Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 well i use this media with imgburn in another pc with xp64 and everithing goes fine. i forgot to say that the problem occurs in vista 64 thanks!
spinningwheel Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I 17:19:46 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: CMC MAG. AM3) (Speeds: 4x; 8x; 12x; 16x) It doesn't matter that you used this crap before and it worked. Try following the guidance given to you by mmalves about speeds and changing media without defending what you are doing now since it isn't working anymore. Crap media does tend to fail

LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Try the drive in another pc, maybe it's just faulty? Try another drive in your PC to make sure it's not your setup that's the problem.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I said to try the drive in another pc, not the media. If the drive still can't burn DVD's in another machine, you can conclude that either: 1. It doesn't like CMC or Sony media. 2. The drive is faulty. So try it in another PC and see how you get on. Then try some Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden media as mentioned in post number 2. If all else fails, get yourself a new drive.
