hpcomputerdude Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 I am trying to burn a backup of an Acura/Honda 2006 Navigation Double Layer DVD from Alpine Electronics, Inc. I have two files that came with it, "BTM060S31C.ISO" and "BTM060S31C.MDS". Both are compressed. Can anyone please help to me burn this to a DVD-DL? I have wasted 5 DVD's already! blutach Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 The car nav discs use PTP whereas all DL optical media sold today are OTP. That means that the sectors are written from the inside out on both layers (OTP writes inside out then outside in). It therefore references disc sectors in a different way and therefore won't work.
