mmalves Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Your drive produced a bad burn. Try again with a new blank disc. If it doesn't work, try with better media, such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.

I wish there was a fool proof way to do this with out making coasters. I've used these discs with other image burns but it seems that when I try to burn ISO's this happens. I'll have to order some verbatim's next time. Update: I tried it again with a new disc and it worked. I guess you win some, you lose some. LOL Edited February 13, 2009 by fmfox
Cynthia Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I 15:21:52 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: MBIPG101-R05-01) (Speeds: 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x)I 15:21:52 Write Speed: 2x I 15:32:29 Average Write Rate: 8,094 KB/s (5.8x) - Maximum Write Rate: 8,406 KB/s (6.1x) The 6x speed is very often the real joke with some burners. Try 8x instead.

I can play to my hearts desire and don't need to worry about my 2yr old destroying the original disc now that I have a backup! I'm still going to get verbatim dvd-r as I see a lot of people recommend it for its quality and reliabilty. Thanks again to mmalves and cynthia for your quick responses and helping me put the pieces of the puzzle together.
