ehone88 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I want to burn 360 iso in Mitsubishi DVD-R DL 8x .. But Imgburn "Layer Break user specified" *1913760* can only support for DVD+R DL .. Another software *mRDL* can burn the 360 iso in Mitsubishi DVD-R DL 8x .. Please help me to burn the Mitsubishi DVD-R DL 8x by Imgburn ,thank you.. http://rs236.rapidshare.com/files/70816498/mRDL1.1.rar *the software mRDL V1.1 support for pioneer 112,115*
mmalves Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 X360 games need the layerbreak in a specific position, yet the DVD-R DL standard doesn't allow to change the layerbreak position. Notice that this is a limitation of the DVD-R DL standard, not ImgBurn. The other program you've mentioned is probably ignoring the layerbreak alltogether, as no software can overcome that limitation.
ehone88 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 maybe you are right,mRDL seems to resize the xb360 iso file to let it burn to -R DL media size. But I try "the software mRDL" it can burn xb360 iso *auto set Layer Break to 1913760*. And it can burn xb1 iso in xb360 *auto set Layer Break to 1913776*. I just think that the Imgburn also can resize the xb360 iso files wirte mode to fit the -R DL media.
mmalves Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Yes, ImgBurn can do that if you tell it so, but if the layerbreak isn't exactly at those values you've mentioned the burned game won't work.
ehone88 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 All the xb360 games I try to burn in mRDL can run perfectly. For example, *OneChanbara_Bikini_Samurai_Squad_USA_RF_XBOX360-REV0* *Street_Fighter_IV_RF_XBOX360-KFC* *Burnout_Paradise_The_Ultimate_Box_JPN_XBOX360-Caravan* *Halo 2 X360 iXtreme compatible* ps:XB360E *Ninja_Blade_JPN_XBOX360-Caravan* *Sonics_Ultimate_Genesis_Collection_NTSC_XBOX360-KFC* *Afro_Samurai_NTSC_XBOX360-xbox360* *Skate_2_JPN_XBOX360-Caravan* .........( 2009.01~2009.02) I brun all the wii iso(D5) in Imgburn and mabye you can help me to burn xb360 iso in Mitsubishi(Verbatim) DVD-R DL media.
mmalves Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Do you have a game burned on DVD-R DL using mRDL that works?
ehone88 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 Yes,I have burned about 100 xb360 games in Mitsubishi(Verbatim) DVD-R DL media. And all the 100 xb360 games burn with mRDL can work in xb360 . So I think if the imgburn can try to fix the burn mode to make it burn DVD-R DL media.
mmalves Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 There is nothing to fix: the DVD-R DL standard simply doesn't allow the layerbreak position to be changed. With ImgBurn in Read mode, could you insert one of those burned games and copy all the text shown on the Information pane? If you don't mind doing that, of course
ehone88 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 Of course,I pick one xb360 games burn on Princo DVD-R DL media. LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 You only have to look at the 'Layer Information' to see that it's all wrong. If you ignore the LB prompt in ImgBurn I'm sure it'll burn a DVD-R DL disc to look just like those.
ehone88 Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Soryy,I don't understand how to ingore the LB prompt in ImgBurn .. Could you help me how to disable the LB prompt ? thnak you..
mmalves Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Uncheck 'Layer Break On DVD-R DL' under Display Warnings in Tools -> Settings -> General tab.

Edited March 4, 2009 by ehone88
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I think you're the only person, everyone else just uses DVD+R DL.
Q-modZz Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 It is possible to burn your ISOs with imgburn using a dvd-r dl preferably verbatim. you will have to use the older version 1.3.0.0 where the manual layer jumping option is fixed for burning on a -r dl. if you check the layer jump box and put the layer break on 1913760, burning a dvd-r dl will work just as fine as a +r.
mmalves Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Using the latest ImgBurn in Write mode, could you please insert one of those burned DVD-R DL and copy all the text shown in the Information box?
