Guest LeoniAquila Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Hi, I'm trying to burn an ISO file to a new CD-RW disc with ImgBurn. However, it fails for some reason. Here's what I've tried: - Both ImgBurn and InfraRecorder (IR failed as well) - Reinstall Windows (an nLited copy, but I know from earlier sessions that burning worked) - Lower speed to 4x Also, tried Simulation Mode in InfraRecorder and it actually showed me the percentage. If you think it's useful to try Simulation Mode in ImgBurn and post a log, I'll be glad to do so. Meanwhile I'm posting the log from the burning attempt with ImgBurn. Thank you for any advice. LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Have you tried burning it at 10x? Basically your drive doesn't like burn to that disc at 4x. 10x might work, failing that, get yourself a totally different CD-RW or just use some decent (Taiyo Yuden) CD-R's.
Guest LeoniAquila Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 The disc is supposed to handle 4-12x. Now I've tried 4x (as per the first attempt), 10x and MAX. They all fail with the same message "Power Calibration Area Error". Furthermore, I tried to erase the disc with ImgBurn, although it should be empty already. But once again it says "Power Calibration Area Error". Looks like I need some new discs then, very annoying since I bought these TDK CD-RW discs just the other day. Thank you very much anyway.
