Hi and welcome to the forum, danny242! :)

I have almost the same burner as you and used the same discs and no problems here.

Can you burn other discs without issue in this burner?

What's the brand of chip sets on the mother board? (nVidia?)

Hi i have tried burning ricoh discs with the same results that is why i had changed to verbs. Not sure on chipset but will look 2nite as i am currently away from the computer with the burner. Thank will post again when i find out. if u dont mind me asking what does the chipset have to do with the problem???

There have been some issues with Nvidia drivers lately that made the burnings end up in an error.

You have the latest drivers for the mother board installed. Just curious as you have no service pack installed for XP.

oh ok. i will do the major service pack update as recently i have reformatted the computer with the orignal cd. i have the lastest firmware for the pioneer 216. How would u change the driver if NVIDIA is the cause??

It seems that in most cases changing the 'Interface' in the tab 'I/O' in the settings to something else than SPTI solves it or just install Windows own drivers instead of the Nvidia.

I have a similar problem. At the end of burning an xbox game (while verifying) it gives me the following error:

I/O Error Device Pioneer 116D etc..

Interpertation Uncorrectable error..

I am using nvidia drivers.

Could somebody please give me some advice.. I messed up allot of expensive DL dvds

Thanks allot..
