sandiegophil Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 i am trying to close a TDK DVD-RW disc after having burned an ISO image, and am getting a failure. no logfile was generated, but the dialog I get is attached. can you "close" a DVD-RW disc?
mmalves Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Have you tried closing Track/Session/Disc (in this order)? Please copy and paste the text shown in the Information area.

I then tried close disc and it failed in the same way.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 If you don't/haven't closed the log window then you can just copy + paste everything from it. That log window is designed to be left open all the time. It's an integral part of the program.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 You can access saved logs via the 'Help' -> 'ImgBurn Logs' menu option. btw, you have an old version of ImgBurn installed. You should update to the latest one.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Use some decent discs. Rewritables aren't any good at the best of times... stick to DVD-R or DVD+R. Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden discs will give you your best chance at a successful burn.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 ImgBurn always closes/finalises the disc when it burns. It's not something you need to do manually.
