efdede Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Dear all, I have to make a copy of a directory with several sub-directories, this is in fact not the biggest problem. The problem is the size of it all. It exceeds 12GB so I have to burn it over multiple DVD volumes. Does anyone have an idea on how I need to do that?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ImgBurn probably isn't the best tool to use for this. You'd need to make 3 new folders and copy ~4GB to each one and burn those.
efdede Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Too bad, I like Imgburn. Any suggestions on what tool to use then for that purpose? Thanks in advance
mmalves Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Haven't used it myself but it seems to be able to do what you want: http://bttb.sourceforge.net/overview.html

Thanks in advance What about adding another harddrive instead? Even a small, portable one would do. You could then use free software to make automatic backups of changes or additions you make to your original files. (The freebie backup software from Microsoft called SyncToy would be perfect). It'd be a hell of alot easier than burning DVDs. Download SyncToy here: SyncToy
