cornholio7 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 check your dma , theres a link in my sig to a guide
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I doubt that drive supports the newer 8x Verbatims (MKM-003-00 dye), buy the 2.4x ones instead (MKM-001-00 dye).
johnlennon78 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 check your dma , theres a link in my sig to a guide Thanks alot for the support, i will check into that, and will let you know.
johnlennon78 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 alright, i changed setting on ide channel there, and i also looked in the bios to make sure it's at auto, however, this is the new error i get: I 17:33:05 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 17:33:05 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2, v.2096) I 17:33:05 Total Physical Memory: 2,096,368 KB - Available: 1,520,904 KB I 17:33:05 Initialising SPTI... I 17:33:05 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 17:33:05 Found 1 CD-RW, 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 You keep buying discs that are far too new to be used in your 'old' burner. If you want to burn the newer 8x dyes you'll need a newer burner. As I said in my 1st post, your best chance of success with that drive is when using Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) discs.
