cbacas Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 The maxwell dvd+r plays on the computer after the burn but not on the dvd player. Maybe it isn't finalizing the dvd?... the dvd player is asking me to initialize the dvd once inserted into the player, but that doesn't help anything. The burn does create the two folders video_ and audio_ . Any suggestions? Below is the log file from the burn. I 19:54:13 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 19:54:13 Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 19:54:13 Total Physical Memory: 2,619,484 KB - Available: 1,802,836 KB W 19:54:13 Drive G:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB in size. Also follow what this post says (removing controllers/etc), as your burn speed is being held too slow by a misconfiguration.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 It burnt and verified ok so either your player doesn't like DVD+R at all or it doesn't like the low quality (CMC MAG-M01-00 dye) media you're using. We only recommend Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden discs here. EDIT: Oops, too slow

I just wanted to make sure it has the high quality ink, etc. thanks, Chad
Cynthia Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 One in this thread that sells in the US http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
cbacas Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 I buy mine HERE. This may be a stupid question, but is there a big difference between the 8x and 16x? Probably for me since i've been burning at speeds less than 2x either will be a bid difference! thanks
Cynthia Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 The 8x rated are usually a bit cheaper and for older writers they seem to work better. If you are not going to burn above 8x - go for the 'cheapest'.
