Danne Posted March 7, 2009 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Hey, Ive been using imgburn for quiet some time now, worked excellent with XP. I recentlly bought a new laptop with Vista 64bit and I keep getting this error. The burning process frezes at 1-4% then after about 30 minutes I get this message: I tried to brun the same files with other programs and it works fine. Danne Posted March 7, 2009 Author Share Posted March 7, 2009 I wasn't trying to burn duble layer, just the regular 4.4gig-something IMG files. I use the same TDK+R discs as I always have and they never failed me once on my other computer with XP. Now I failed 4-5 times with Imgburn. ImgBurn sends an I/O command to the drive, the drive processes it and returns either 'success' or 'failure'... or at least that's how it's supposed to work. For whatever reason, yours has got stuck and then 1.5 hours later the command has 'timed out' - resulting in a bus reset. Issues like this are likely to be caused by dodgy drivers more than anything else. What controller does your motherboard use? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Danne Posted March 7, 2009 Author Share Posted March 7, 2009 It works now. It seems to be a bit slow, only writes with ~2x til 7% then ~4x til 40% then 6-8x til its complete.
