LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Buy some decent discs and slow the burn speed down to 8x.
MrSau Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 Before the Philips Discs I had TDK DVD-R 4.7 GB What you call a decent disc?, is the programm seriously not working cause of "bad" discs??
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 You need a good drive / firmware / media combo to get working burns. Something out of those 3 isn't playing nicely... the software doesn't even come into it. ImgBurn just sends commands to the drive and then waits for a 'success' / 'failure' message. It's down to your machine and all the drivers to actually deliver the commands to the drive and return the status. If something messes up, ImgBurn ends up waiting forever (or until the command times out - which is what's happening here). Decent media is anything made by Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.
MrSau Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 ok I will try Verbatim Discs then Should I buy a new DVD Burner too? I mean mine is now 2 years old (Philips SPD3300CC) If it really would help i`d buy a newer one but if you say that the burner is good enough i`ll just buy the discs Info of my Burner

MrSau Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 statusbar? when? what do you mean, i have only problems with that programm, the process stuck at 0% there comes no logfile or a message
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 The statusbar inside ImgBurn. It's the bar at the bottom of the main window. Please also copy + paste everything from the log window when you attempt to burn using your new drive and you think it's stuck.
MrSau Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 lol last time imgburn got stuck i had to disconnect the Usb cable from the Computer (when imgburn freezes then a new process cant be loaded, and i cant finish the imgbrun process in the taskmanager, when i disconnect the burner than the computer works fine) now I restartet my computer and imgburn brings this: http://www.imgbox.de/users/public/images/o6227h189.jpg now it doesnt detect my burner, this programm really sucks my balls, nothing`s working fine I cant look at the statusbar cause i have no burner to test it
Cynthia Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I have an USB burner attached to my computer and it works, even with this program. Can you see your burner in Windows Explorer or any other program?
MrSau Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 nope it`s disabled in all the programms now (great) but it is still in the Device Manager
MrSau Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 yeah that doesnt work, no programm finds my burner? what the fuck? imgburn destroys burners? xD
cornholio7 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 imgburn doesn't destroy burners, i have 10 different burners on 5 different pc's , one of them in an usb enclosure which works on all pc's, all using imgburn
MrSau Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 I will try something different, cause my computer and imgburn are not best friends xDDDD i`ll install the new burner on my father`s pc and i`ll try to burn my iso file there, when that is not working too.... oh man dont know what then xDD
