I am a Vista user unfortunately and have been using ImgBurn for some time with no problem. I have an external burner. I had Microsoft help me recentely with my computer not recognizing my CD drive. The issue was fixed. This is the only change since the last time I used ImgBurn and today I tried to burn and I received this log: I 16:55:35 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 16:55:35 Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 16:55:35 Total Physical Memory: 3,134,368 KB - Available: 1,413,228 KB I 16:55:35 Initialising SPTI... LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 The first error ('The semaphore timeout period has expired') is the important one. You get that error when you've got a bad USB controller / driver / enclosure combo. I suggest you talk to MS again, maybe then you can come back here and tell us why it happen... nobody really knows 100% and there's certainly no sure fix for it.
