LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Update your firmware, perhaps the new one will support that media. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/AD-7170A/files.html Failing that, read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
chandna Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Hi I have done full erase and when i tried to write BDRE25, it says formatting required. Whats the difference between full erase and formatting? How to do the formatting? Thanks Chandna
mmalves Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 When you do a Full Erase the format command is also issued for media that support it (BD-RE included). Notice that you only need to do it once, when the media is brand new, and it takes quite a lot of time (it's normal). After that just overwrite the data (no need to quick erase or anything).
chandna Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I thnk you have not understood my problem.I will explain you in detail. 1. I have already used this BDRE for one time. 2. Then erased it fully. It took about 48 Min 3. When trying to re write its asking formatting required. Is it clear now? Also let me know if all the Discs are required to format first before writing first time when its brand new ?
