montmorency Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Sorry if this is an obtuse question: I know that Verbatim are recommended for DVD and that Taiyo Yuden are recommended for CD. What I haven't got quite clear is whether Verbatim is equally good for CD, and if Taiyo Yuden is equally good for DVD. With thanks, M.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Verbatim and TY are both great for DVD (and that's Verbs using the MCC dye or the TY dye - TY obviously always use the TY dye!). For CD I've had much more success using TY discs than Verbatim ones.... but if you get Verbatim's that use the TY dye, that's a different story (they're fine).
montmorency Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 Great. Many thanks LUK for clearing that up. Regards, M.
