Shamus_McFartfinger Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Slow your burn down and see what happens. While you're there, toss a blank into your drive and select WRITE MODE from the pulldown menu and then copy and paste the info from the window on the right to this forum.
quickcycles Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 I write at slow speeds anyway (2.4x) normally so can't go much slower. Is this what you mean for write mode info: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-215 1.22 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 3,827,520 Free Space: 7,838,760,960 bytes Free Time: 850:35:45 (MM:SS:FF) DVD
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 do all discs (various brands / dyes) get stuck in the same way? What happens if you try with Taiyo Yuden / Verbatim media?
quickcycles Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 I've tried DVD5 DVD9 and CDr All with the same prob - I'm thinking it's more a drive prob than an IMGburn prob? QC
quickcycles Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 don't have another PC I'm afraid to try it in? totally nothing to do with IMGBurn but perhaps you know, it's a new drive that worked ok, but I then upgraded the firmware and (I think) it's since then I've had the probs. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware? QC
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 How about using a linux live cd or something and testing it under that? Or perhaps you've already tried it under a clean build of a non beta OS? (i.e. XP SP3) What controller is the drive attached to? Intel? Nvidia? Official firmware releases don't let you downgrade. I believe there are ways around it though - check the pioneer forum at cdfreaks.
