Hi and welcome to the forum, FlexyPLEXX! :)

Might be because they seem to be rebadged Lite-Ons.

If they are - you should be able to trigger the book type function by adding 'PLEXTOR DVDR PX-850SA' in the Advanced settings under Lite-On. See '4.2.12.2 Advanced' in this guide:

There appears to be two spaces between "DVDR" and "PX". I have tried with one-, two-, and three spaces respectively. Should this allow me to set preferences from the LiteOn tab? (because it does not)

When writing an image I had sitting here the log showed no booktype change for DVD+R media (setting: N/A)

Interestingly with 'two spaces' I can now make changes to this overpriced cheap hardware, via the lite-on tab, to Forced Hypertuning. However I still cannot make booktype settings changes.

:(

The number of spaces doesn't matter (at least not with 2.4.4.0).

It's saying N/A for booktype because the function is failing - as per your previous post.

Do none of the booktype options work?

correct: none of the booktype options in the lite-on tab work. All results in the same failure :(

thank you for taking interest in my issue :)
