mmalves Posted April 12, 2009 Share Posted April 12, 2009 On a brand new BD-RE you have to do a Full Erase before you can use it. It takes a long time because the drive first formats the disc (this is done by the drive itself and is what takes most of the time) and only then the disc is erased by ImgBurn. After this, you don't need to quick erase anymore: just overwrite the disc By the way, please ensure you're using the latest ImgBurn version Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 Full certification (where the drive tests all the sectors on the disc) failed because the drive doesn't like the disc. Writing to the sectors is failing for the same reason. Is that disc scratched at all? If not I guess the drive just doesn't like that dye.
