Joleca Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 I have an HP Pavilion tx2510us laptop with a TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633L 0400 burner... So far have been unable to book-type (was thinking maybe burner was not recognized by older version of the software 2.4.2.0, but having same problem after updating to 2.4.3.0 & now 2.4.4.0. According to firmware update searches, this is actually a Samsung TS-L633L. I have tried to go into advanced settings an enter the drive as a "re-badged" Samsung so I can book-type, but no matter what I enter, I get the error: UNKNOWN (FAILED!) Reason: Incorrect function. I've tried entering the drive with and without the "400" at the end, without the TSSTcorp, without the CDDVDW, etc.. nothing seems to work... LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 That error is from the Windows API rather than the drive - so I guess one of your drivers is blocking the command.
