  1. That will be interesting LFC, let us know how they go.
  2. Yup, it's nothing more than a disc problem, the simple fact that it won't verify tells me the drive doesn't like them and your burns arn't of good quality, as mentioned above try some verbs with MCC dye, and see if your drive/player likes those.
  3. How did you manage to do this? I'm not aware of any setting that will convert from NTSC to PAL.
  4. If they are both missing you're pretty much screwed, unless you want to go to a lot trouble, this is well beyond the scope of this forum.
  5. Even if that was true, you should still be able to get players that support both formats, no? Nothing really to do with region codes.
  6. Yeah, I agree, it's much easier and cheaper to get a player that supports both formats.
  7. More info please, can you post a log from your burn? that should tell us all we need to know, my guess at the moment is poor media, but the log will tell us this. BTW, you can't burn over these discs, they're a one time only, unless offcourse they're RW's.
  8. Yeah there are apps that will burn MDF files, but I'm afraid you'll have to google it, after all, this is ImgBurn support forum, sorry, but I can't go any further than this.
  9. It's all down to drive/firmware/media combination, if the speed you select is not supported by any of them, then the speed will default to the closest thing you selected. Easy way to find out what speed you're drive/media supports is to pop a blank into the drive, select write mode and look in the right hand pane, sample below. HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4120B A117 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 2,295,104 Free Space: 4,700,372,992 bytes Free Time: 510:03:29 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 4x, 8x Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Disc ID: MCC-003-00 Book Type: DVD+R Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 1 Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP) Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 2,491,711 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0 In this case, the supported speeds are 4X and 8X this offcourse will change with different media. Here is another that's only supported at 4X. 10. As the name clearly suggests, ImgBurn burns images, also builds images from files allready on your HDD, what you're attemting is ripping, something we can't offer support on whatsoever. Take a look at the guides section of the forum, all will be clear to you then.
  11. You really need to tell a bit more, what did you extract this file with? You'll find the MDS is just an instruction file pointing to the MDF, as to why you're extracting in different formats? you really need to tell us more.
  12. No, mine is the older GSA 4120B, still going like a train. I think Blu has the model you're refering to.
  13. Have you tried different discs like suggested??

    sony movies

Yes, it is. Yes, there is, they are totally different.
  15. No, I think we flogged this thing to death, it's cheaper to buy a new drive and save all the frustration, this drive clearly does not want to burn DL media, even the best of them, time to give up. Kev, well done with all the research and suggestions, pitty it didn't come to fruition.
  16. Use Power DVD or Media player classic, the second one is free and does a good job. Media player is shocking at playing DVD's.
  17. The name is KENADJIAN not KENADGIAN, (Armenian background) My handle as you call it, is in fact my surname. The RAR Insignia is my old corp badge, 7 RAR to be exact based in NSW Australia.
  18. You should really pass your concerns to disc/drive manufacturers, it's their design that dictates what and how things should happen.
  19. With a computer one would hope.
  20. Because they can't??? All jokes aside, did you burn the verb at 2.4X? If not try that. Can you also post the log from the failed verb burn please? This is also possible.
