  1. This also is unusual. Since the firmware is up to date, there appears to be a conflict. Regards
  2. This thread seems to be related http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4922 Regards
  3. Take a while to go thru on a full DVD. The prog spits it out at the end of the write and verify. Regards
  4. I wanna know why when the speed is set to 2.4x, the drive writes at 3.4x. Something funny there. Try to clean the drive. It is unusual to see Verbs not writing (but don't expect results from those Ritek D01's either). Regards
  5. Sounds like a HW problem. Certainly not an ImgBurn "bug". As donta says, check the cable and the drives. Regards
  6. I support the feature request - I have no idea how to use the program and this would come in handy! (I'm sure 99% of people disabled ole clippy the second they installed MSOrifice) Regards
  7. Getting a bit morbid all this talk of death. LUK! is a young man, tom9876543 and that's the craziest reason I've ever heard for basically wanting to nick a man's work. Regards
  8. Maybe FrankEast went West (where this thread went). Regards
  9. Which month (and year) is not specified!!!! :D Regards
  10. There's 2 schools of thought on this one: 1. Have the whole VTS on one layer so you aren't swapping back and forwards - this would mean breaking at VTS_03_0.IFO (as LUK suggested) 2. Ensure the IFO and BUP are on different layers for protection (ie if one can't be read the other may be). This would mean breaking after the IFO (eg VTS_03_0.VOB). I used to prefer option 1, but most DVDs are authored to go back to VMG on layer 0 anyway to get to the next title. So now, I prefer option 2 (although it really is a marginal gain). Regards
  11. a good workman never blames his tools When my tool isn't working (rarely, to be sure), I certainly blame it!!! Regards
  12. Sorry mate, I wouldn't know. Seems like they might be 001s though if they are listed as 2.4x Regards
  13. We tend to recommend the 001s (2.4x) - they seem to produce better burns than the 003s (8x). Regards
  14. Firey's got an old clunker upstairs with just a CDR in it. It's a P3, 500, I think. Maybe it will be worth something one day. Regards
  15. Hi again Zack, Don't worry about the break that it's "average" - that's all relative anyway. If truth be told, almost all commercial DVDs have "average" LBs. Just burn that baby. In any event, you're not gunna hit any better than "average", cos you are splitting within a title (ie another 10 splits are useless). Regards
  16. No. Regards
  17. You've learned not to waste money on Ritek D01's. Maybe shell out a few more pennies and get Verbatim MKM-001s instead? Regards
  18. Then slot it in and connect the cords! Regards
  19. To make it better (ie to break at the start of an episode - which would be "excellent"), you would need to re-author the disk (ie move the VTSs around). This is not all that difficult to do - In PgcEdit, use DVD--> Remap Titlesets. Ensure that the data on L0 (the lower numbered VTSs) is greater than on L0. You might need a calculator to do this. PgcEdit will ensure that the episodes are played back in the right order. Always test by tracing before burning. But, in today's world of seamless layer breaks, I wouldn't worry too much. Regards
  20. If you open ImgBurn and switch to write mode (Ctrl-Alt-W), check the top right panel. Post what it says there. Looks like you only have a CD reader. Regards

    Rip

I was thinking Mr Van Winkle had popped in to introduce himself Regards
  22. Writing at 4x over USB is dangerous. Even though you have verified OK, it would seem you have an unreadable burn on the outside of layer 1. Slow it down to 2.4x Regards
  23. Of course ISO+UDF allows more than 2 Gb. All commercial DVDs are ISO9660 + UDF 1.02 and are perfectly able to address a dual layer DVD. Also, Wikipedia is hardly an authoritative source. Regards
  24. Try VobBlanker - guide on site (it is linked to in my signature; you might have even found it had you stopped being snide and decided to click on it). Regards
  25. Either buy the DVD or go to the drug store and buy a can Regards
