Burn a DVD movie that automatically loops
kevdriver replied to Roger Dietz's topic in ImgBurn Support
mjor88, First off, next time please start a new thread instead of hijacking another members..... Your question might have several answers, could you post a log of the burn that you mentioned in your question. Help > Img logs > copy and paste. -

Keep getting "Invalid address for write" with Verbatim
kevdriver replied to rammoth's topic in ImgBurn Support
rammoth, Have you checked for firmware updates for your burner and also make sure you leave imgburn presets on default and when burning leave burn speed on auto. Those Verbs should burn fine at 8X and above. And make sure your using the most current version of Imgburn as well. Your logs are saved by default. Help > Imgburn logs. -
I have a DVD and want to make copies of it.

As well as what the Boss mentioned, you may want to start ingburn up with administration rights.......right click shortcut and choose to start with "run as administor. -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE Have a good Day !

Exactly, As Donta said! Verifying right after the burn will insure what has been burn't to your disk is exactly the same as the source with no errors from burning.

Help cant get the DVD to work...tried 3 times already
kevdriver replied to El Profe's topic in ImgBurn Support
Looks like a successful burn. Although you should be using Verbatim DVD+R Dual layer media to burn to since they are the best media for dual layer burning. The sound problem might be a authoring problem with the original source which is not a Imgburn problem. -

I/O Error! Possible newb stupidity..
kevdriver replied to i_pity_the_fool's topic in ImgBurn Support
Imgburn is a burning app, not a ripping app. It won't remove copy protection. When you do have a unprotected image to back up, you should be using Verbatim DVD+R to burn to. They are the only ones that work consistently -
wowsza, The Memorex may be burning for you all right at the moment, but if you go back and try watching the disc in a year or so, even 6 months you may find out why we're so adament on Verbs and Tys as the blank media of choice.

Jenny, due to legal restrictions we can't help you out with your question due to the fact it's about a downloaded movie. Google is your friend. To change booktype, when you have Img opened just go to lower right hand corner and click on little book icon thingy.

Cath, if you need SP2................ I do believe it available off microsofts download page.

Each drive has its own life span, some last serveral years and some only several months. I've still got a working Pioneer a107 which is slow by todays standards but still does the job. 1999 model I believe.

Kiok, Imgburn is just displaying what your burner is doing. Your discs are 6x,8x,12x and 16x burn speed. You have Imgburn set to 3x burn speed which your discs don't do, Imgburn is showing the speed that your burner has adjusted itself to. Best to reset everything to default and Imgburn will burn your discs at a proper speed that the media will handle. ( burn speed set at auto )

chron _ 4, I personally like Pioneer drives but this is just a one of many good brands. Plextor, liteon, there are so many...... I'm sure others will post different preferences for burners so you can compare. By the way, what error messages are you getting? It might not be your drive crapping out, although it is an older model.

How you doing Loco.........
-
chron4, without the complete log I can only guess that Yes it could be a firmware problem. Open Imgburn, go to tools>drive>firmware and see if another firmware is available for your drive. Also for DL burning we reccommend Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks as these are the only ones that will work proper and give you consistant good burns.

Cath, go into disc management and see if that 60 gig section of Hd that won't format is active. If not, make active and then do a reinstall of Xp and format. It should then recognize the entire 160 gigs. You may have to delete the 60 gig partion to make your HD a single ( raw ) section....... meaning a full 160 gig. before you attempt the format.

Beem, You must have another app running that is uses your burner which is preventing Imgburn from getting a dedicated connection to it. This won't affect the burn in some cases unless that other app kicks in. AnyDVD or incd comes to mind right away. Disable any other app that may want to use your burner.
