Build mode - Burn "hung" at 14% on second copy
Defenestration replied to Defenestration's topic in ImgBurn Support
I've never had any problems before and the interface can handle up to just over 14x (according to Nero CD/DVD Speed). I guess you could say I'm impatient, hence the highest speed possible. -
I also try but it never seems to help.

While IB was burning the second copy in Build mode, it "hung" at 14% during "Writing Image" stage. The Time elapsed stat kept counting upwards, the drive was still recognized in Explorer, and the DVD drive still appeared to be spinning the disc. After clicking Cancel the log showed "Abort Request Acknowledged", but I assume it didn't cancel as IB was still showing the progress dialog. Finally, I switched off the external drive which sorted out IB and the log showed "14:32:36 Failed to Write Sectors 305312 - 305343 - The request was aborted.", so does this indicate a problem with the media ? Below is the last part of the log

During the Verify stage there is a free line on the GUI so, as a compromise, how about showing current copy/total copies during the Verify stage ?

When IB starts in Build Mode it always defaults to the Information tab. Can you make it save the last selected tab (and sub-tab in the case when the Advanced tab is selected) so that it's remembered when IB is next started. Reason being that most of the burns I do have the same prefs apart from the Volume Label.

blu - it allows you see at a glance how many have been done and how many are remaining, which is useful IMO. LUK! - no problem. It would've been nice, but not if it takes a lot of work which appears to be the case.

Time to think of another useful stat so you can add an extra line

Is it possible to always keep the root folder ?

Thanks LUK! -
Testing new v2 and noticed that the current/total copies stat is only shown in Write mode and not in build mode. Would be nice if it was also shown in build mode.

Awww, and here I was hoping for the newly released v3 beta

Is it possible to always keep the root folder ?
Defenestration replied to Defenestration's topic in ImgBurn Support
Would it be possible to have a new option to default to No, when the prompt is turned off, in a future version IB ? It would be greatly appreciated since I always like to include the root folder, and am often only burning a single root folder. -
I often burn a single folder which contains all files/folders I want, but IB never keeps the root folder itself (ie. only the contents of the folder are visible, rather than the root folder itself). I can get the desired effect if I disable Build->Don't Prompt Root Content and then select No on the dialog when burning, but I don't want to be prompted each time. When I enable Build->Don't Prompt Root Content, the root folder is never burnt. How can I get it to burn the root folder, but not prompt everything ?

I just tried burning my first DVD+RW in build-mode, but after the burn completed successfully the disc could not be read in Explorer. The files being burnt had long filenames (eg. 62 chars excluding extension) so I changed Advanced->Restrictions-ISO9660 from Level 1 to Level 2, after which the disc could be read in Explorer (with all filenames longer than 31 chars still visible). Below is basic log when set to Level 1: 1) Level 2 says up to 31 characters, so how come files with more than 31 chars are OK ? 2) No error is displayed when burning with Level 1, so is this a problem or is this expected behaviour ?
