  1. Hey up fella - good thanks how's you ?

What you been up to ?

  2. Not this year polo - hoping to come over again in 2010
  3. Good to see the Verbs are still the only option for DL burning ! Hi Spinner !
  4. Imgburn is donationware !
  5. I think it is the forum bit it doesn't like boss - I can access the www.imgburn.com site with no probs at all ! If you have any way round this please let me know Thanks
  6. Cheers all - I am sure I only have one a year boss but they do seem to be coming round a bit quick these days !! Still a few years away from the next big one so it's a quiet one this time - got a sailing day with work tomorrow with free bar in the evening so going to make use of that.... Apologies for my sparse appearances here, work have the forum blocked as a chat room these days (I blame volvo) and I have been struggling to get on any of the forums due to long working days... I am sure it's the same for all of you.
  7. Bandit !!

    lol

  8. There is always one isn't there spinner
  9. No no no spinner, permanent students like Daniel never graduate, they start a new course before the current one finishes and just start over again.....
  10. Hey Daniel - good to see you back here mate You still on Christmas holidays ?
  11. Good to see Mr Burke has come back to confirm he is now buying Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media, that's the thing about advice that people give for free, some don't want to give any kind of thanks in response
  12. The DVD-R DLs are useless - I had 5 to test and couldn't find any use for them, you can't set the layer break position on them which makes them unplayable is most players/consoles..... As mmalves said get Verbatim DVD+R DLs and you should be much happier
  13. I have used those discs db and found them to be very reliable
  14. As volvo said it sounds like you need to use winrar to unpack the files and then you should (assuming it's a dvd video) be left with the correct folders/files.
  15. If it's a PC game then I think they have some form of protection on them, sorry I can't be definite but I have always played games on consoles.
  16. I like the straight forward problems
  17. Ah that's ok Cynthia, I thought you had been on the Schnaps again
  18. Cough ! My Liteon seems to like the new DVD+R DLs, true the scan above doesn't have a jitter reading (which would bring the score down a little) but that aside I am impressed with the 8 or so I have burnt so far.
  19. Anyone want to place bets that the poor 7200 doesn't see out a year with db ?
  20. Does the burn complete ? If so does it do so without errors ? Can you post a copy of the log from ImgBurn please ?
  21. It sounds like your drive doesn't like them...... Can you open ImgBurn and then pop a disc that will burn in the drive, next can you copy and paste the log from the bottom window of the ImgBurn GUI into your next post here ? This will tell us what drive model you have and also the firmware that it's currently using, it might be that the FW needs updating to burn the discs you have bought. Generally speaking we only recommend the Verbatim DVD+R Dual Layer discs (MKM-001) dye made in Singapore.
  22. Sounds like the installed burner doesn't burn CD-R's either that or that part of the drive is knackered.... A copy of the log from ImgBurn would help us
  23. Yep - as above you cannot set the layer break on the DVD-R DL format so for me at least it makes them useless for movies etc..... The DVD+R DL Verbs on the other hand are excellent and I have had no issues with them when backing up movies I didn't want to compress.
  24. Given the amount of Memorex DL's you have lost in this process it must now be worth your while buying Verb DVD+R DLs with the MKM-001 dye (if you can find them)
  25. I have an ImgBurn problem too folks - unlike Nero it (ImgBurn) actually works for me..... Surely that isn't right ??? I mean you don't even have to pay for the privilege !
