  1. OTP - Opposite Track Path, means the data is burned from the inside of the disc to the outside on the first layer and then from the outside back to the middle on the second layer.

PTP - Parallel Track Path, means the data is burned inside to outside of disc on first layer and then the same again on the second layer.

    (I think)

As for problems I don't really know as all my DL backups have been OTP originals. If your worried try PgcEdit as Lightning suggested above.

  2. You already know that the Verbs are the best option for DL burns, have seen mixed results on the Ritek DLs depending on the dye being used. I will stick to Verb for all my DLs for a while yet.....

Oh where did you see the Verb DL printables ?

  3. The meteorite shower that blinds the population bit sounds like Day of the Triffids, I have only ever seen the BBC series starring John Duttine I think - was young tho and can't remember how it ends.....

    Hang on....

  4. I might be wrong but I think the .mds was something that the boss put into the old DVDD prog to assist with making DL backups.

If you want another program to do this you would have to contact the authors and make your request to them.

  5. Yeah the OTP or PTP is set by the origin media, I think the problems come when trying to burn the PTP DL image to the available OTP blank DL media.

If your having problems you will need to do as :worthy: Lightning UK! suggested above.....
