  1. Quite Natural for a good piece of software like Imgburn. I can't really remember how many times imgburn was mentioned in magazines, blogs, articles, forums, official and unofficial. Just ask any pro about what program he uses for his burning needs and the answer is always known. Many positve experiences and extreme praise for it. I can flood this post with links which mention imgburn as the utlimate optical disc authoring tool. But I'd rather say yay imgburn
  2. Well since you asked nicely Here is a batch file u can create to do the tasks u need. Would be nice to see a copy option but for the time being this batch file works like a charm. It perfectly does what u need create this file in the notepad and save it as .bat file. Also change the Drive letter to yours (mine is G as u see what is yours ). After your done put the disc u need copied click batch file and follow instructions given to you by imgburn. Bear in mind Imgburn doesn't copy protected discs. Credits go to the creator of the batch file (member name wosteen). @echo off "C:\Program Files\ImgBurn\ImgBurn" /mode isoread /src G: /dest "%temp%\disccopy.iso" /overwrite yes /eject yes /close /start /waitformedia "C:\Program Files\ImgBurn\ImgBurn" /mode isowrite /dest G: /src "%temp%\disccopy.iso" /eject yes /closesuccess /start /waitformedia /deleteimage yes
  3. DID u freakin look at the Media section to see why the verbatim is the best kind of Media. Its not the verbatim per say as a brand (I personally don't have it here) its the damn dye. Also Show some damn respect to the author of a great tool which is offered to you for FREE (you would otherwise pay big bucks to get a similar commercially bloated tool). Bear in mind he took from his own time and effort to help you out and support you when he really doesn't need to take this crap from you. He gave you tips to improve your burn, update your drive, and computer yet you chose to disregard all his advice. The least you can do is say thank you and go on your way.
  4. mmalvas SP2 is not a cumaltive update. He has to update to SP1 one first finish all updates too (Note: SP1 changes Vista's Kernel so it might take a while) then he should update to SP2.
  5. I am using the second one. bought it new about a year or 2 ago. It working like a charm and is awesomely fast. I didn't burn much with it since I have like over 1 TB of storage space and I usually burn for backup and archiving but if you are asking me I recommend the second. Also I recommend you get DVD drives new. Some things don't cut it as 2nd hand.
  6. ok First clean the infected computer before cleaning up the the USB. I recommend Norton AV or Avira AV to try to remove this virus through the windows interface. If this doesn't work. Get the Hiren Boot CD and reboot your computer and boot into the Hiren CD. Choose AV utilities and use to scan your computers with ALL the utilities in there (I suggest you choose delete infected filed automatically option). Then Use Avast or Avira or NAV after you boot into your windows to remove the virus from the USB stick after d/c the internet.
  7. Cynthia, LUK I think you should post somewhere an informative post to KILL the legend that slow burn gives a quality burn. ITS A FREAKING MYTH. In fact a slow burn might be less than optimal especially if the drive is a new cutting edge one. Since you are forcing it to burn at a slower speed, you are actually prone to get errors on the burn and the resultant is a lower quality burn. THE QUALITY BURN = QUALITY MEDIA + QUALITY DRIVE + GOOD BURNING PROGRAM (IMGBURN IS MORE THAN GOOD FOR THAT).
  8. Let me answer this one LUK since I was an xbox 360 support agent for the EMEA. My friend this is not a an issue with imgburn or your abg. Although I do not encourage copying your DVDs (you can install your games on your console and leave the disc inside just to read the DRM file and u can save your precious disc this option is a perk of the NXE dashboard). Anyway back to our issue. This is an issue with xbox 360 drive (error reading disc to play this game put in an xbox 360 in multiple languages) call the xbox 360 support line or refer to microsoft's online tech support support.xbox.com. Regards
  9. ok Before somebody else loses his temper. When you buy cheap or junk media u carry the risk of getting coasters or LOW quality burns which means your first 40 discs might've burned fine but did they burn well no errors, at optimum speed u specified or did they torture your burner. Doesn't mean a chinese knock off car is running smoothly that its Better than a Porsche Cayenne to give you a slight example.
  10. checked MSI site no firmware updates. Great website btw has all utilities and new drivers for my lappy ^^
  11. Oh one Final question. I started imgburn today and checked for firmware update I found an update to the LG GT10N drive from 1.01 to 1.06 but that firmware according to firmware hq seems to belong to Dell. My laptop is an MSI should I ignore this update or what? Thnx Paladin77
  12. Thanks alot Cynthia. And I hope u didn't mind me quoting you
  13. Yes I did use their utility and since I know what I am doing I walked the extra mile to remove any traces of legacy SPTD driver in the Windows Registry. I do not get warnings in imgburn. I like Virtual Clone more since its easier to use and I can right click to quickly mount an image but as I said would like to know if its driver will have any effect.
  14. First I would like to thank the author and support team of this great software. As the topic says and quickly and simply I ask: Does all installed Virtual Drivers installed detrimentally affect the drive speeds or is it only the SPTD driver installed by software like Daemon Tools, Astroburn and Alcohol 120%? I am asking because I gave Daemon tools a 1 way ticket to the dumpster (I am quoting Cynthia here ) due to issues in Windows 7 in addition to slow and aberrant drive performance. I replaced it with VirtualClone Drive as my virtual disc utility only to find out it does install a driver of its own like shown below: As for Imgburn it doesn't really show any warnings or notable speed changes, but just to make sure when I recommend the imgburn Vclone combo I would like to ask, will this new VClone driver affect the drive performance? Thnx in Advance and sorry if this question has been asked before I searched but closest matches were regarding SPTD driver. Regards Paladin77
  15. I share the sentiment of everyone here and primarily signed up to say thank you (although some threads caught my attention). I just dumped Nero to oblivion after ehem asking me to update my bundled software with a freaking 372 MB loads of stuff I don't even use. I was told about imgburn by a friend (LOL and I was supposed to be the expert and he is the noob ). Its my only Disc authoring software. Thank you soo much for this great app
  16. ThreeSixty I couldn't help to notice that you are using a slimline (laptop) burner. Those aren't good for producing quality burns for your XBOX 360 games. I am using an HL-DT-ST GT10N drive but I still wouldn't trust it to burn a game backup or any high quality stuff. I simply get up open my cupboard and take out the External LG burner for that. Also bear in mind those slimline burners tend to bite the dust quickly One last note I am burning games normally with 2.5.0.0 version.
  17. Thnx dude for the batch file. Much obliged. And Thank you LUK for this awesome piece of software *puts Nero to rest*
