I should know in about a week if the ones I ordered are legit or not. I didn't know about the sale until I read about it on the redfox forums. I was down to my last 50 discs, so when I read that, didn't hesitate for a minute and ordered them. 2 months since the sale probably won't have stocks deplete and be replaced by cmc crap. When they pan out, I'm ordering more Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

They're still in business because they sell a ton, just because you sell a lot doesn't make it good. Cmc crap is known to become unreadable after months or a few years, fail to verify immediate after a disc gets burned, playback of the disc flat out refused but standalone players,... My verbatim burns have none of that. I have movies I burned 10 years ago, still perfect picture from start to finish, playback refusal? I've yet to encounter a standalone player that refuses one. It's not just about how much you sell, it's also about how long your backups hold over time, the quality. If you need to redo the backup every year, because the disc fails to play, who's doing the financial winning here? Yes, because of the constant reburns, they'll sell a lot more discs. But the consumer loses on the long run because they have to buy new discs constantly. The quality of the real verbatim is more expensive than cmc crap, but for a reason. They're a lot better, and last longer too. That's what counts for me Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Well I just ordered 1k of the DVD+R, next up will then another 1k if they're the right MID a little later, and some printable bd-r's when the Bitcoin price goes up. So the little I have is worth more and I can snap up a couple hundred of those too [emoji39] That said, I'm on the fence on this one. I fully expect quality to drop and I'm prepping for it, but just maybe, now that they'll have the patents, technology, their crappy quality will increase and become the new verbatim (or remain if they keep the brand alive) Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

It's true https://www.anandtech.com/show/14597/cmc-buys-verbatim-assets-from-mitsubishi Which is why tomorrow I'm ordering 1000 of the DVD+R SL tomorrow and I'll probably order 1k more a little while later. Should last me a while. I'm expecting quality to drop, but I'll hoping it'll be the other way. That by acquiring verbatim, cmc mag will finally increase their quality due to the IP from verbatim. I hate it just as much as you do Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Any particular reason for the 2nd topic on this in 2hrs? Original: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/25659-disc-label/ Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

That's because it's the official website for it and vso software (developers) Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

You probably just clicked on an advert, or it's flagging the advertisement dll as a virus. Use mirror 7 and see if that helps. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

They didn't lie db. Write speed depends initially on the wrote speed descriptors supported for that type of blanks. You can see for yourself that type of disc (good stuff) only has them up to 12x. So although the drive can do 16xx the discs /firmware combo won't let it Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

I'd start by stop using that cheap crappy blanks type 'cmc mag am3'. I'd be willing to bet that's your problem right there Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Sounds to me your trying to make the iso on a drive that's formatted as FAT32. FAT32 has an inherited maximum file size of 4gb, this CANNOT be changed. If this is the case, you have 1 option, format the drive you're writing the image to as NTFS. That said, imgburn isn't really designed to make images of hard drives, there's specialized software for that like macrium reflect or acronis true image Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

You don't, not with imgburn at least. It doesn't write to flash drives. You need Rufus. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Idea's? Yes, read the pink box up top. You need to post the full log. Not 5 lines of it. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Can't write any DVD. "Logical block address out of range"?

Stop using cheap crap cmc mag discs. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk -
Not with imgburn. It only burns what you feed it. If you burn the mp4's you'll end up with a data disc with mp4's on it. If you want a DVD you'll first need something to convert the files to a valid DVD structure. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Probably neither of that, but a standalone player hooked up to a TV, capable of burning discs. Very common in Asia (not implying OP is Asian) Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 7 met Tapatalk

RITEK-DR3-000, that's probably your problem right there. Cheap crappy blank ritek discs. They're about the worst quality you can get. Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 7 met Tapatalk

Nope, that's not the only thing. Yes they're mainly on triple layer, but there's also significant new info in the mpls/clpi and m2ts files to accommodate for the new audio types, different HDR specifications... Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk

Whether they have been used or not is irrelevant. If the packaging said 'DVD+R' and not 'DVD+RW' you've got SINGLE USE recordable discs. You cannot erase single use discs, period. They're already blank. You can only erase them if the packaging states +/-RW. Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk
-
That's because you can't erase single use DVR+R discs at all. Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk

You can, which is why the W is between brackets ;-). To indicate that it applies to single as well as multi-use discs. It's just that -R media (single or multiple) afaik doesn't support booktype in general. Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk
-
You can't set booktype on -R(W) media anyway. Single nor dual layer. That's only supported by +R(W) media afaik. Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk

That's what convertxtoBD is for ;-) or video converter ultimate depending on your need Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk

You don't need to install it. Just get the portable version. Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk

U don't, with imgburn. It can only create discs or iso's. Use the windows 10 media creation tool (that's one of it's options) or Rufus. Take your pick Verstuurd vanaf mijn Nexus 6P met Tapatalk

What's the exact filename you're trying to burn, what mode are you selecting in IMGburn and what's your playback device. Sounds to me you're either using the wrong mode for what you're trying to do, or you burnt for example an MP4 to disc and your player doesn't support that type of playback.
