  1. Hi, First of all, I'd like to thank you for your efforts I faced this issue while I was creating an audio CD, I followed steps mentioned here but when I tried to create cd from CUE file, I received the following error message: file names contained arabic letters, and they show as "???" , so I think there's an issue here. Thank you for your support.
  2. The only way to do that in ImgBurn is by using Read mode to create an image file and then Write mode to burn the image file to a new disc.
  3. It's hard to say about those CD-R's. The packaging is the same as the CMC CD-R's you get in a store. However, I saw in the description SuperAZO. SuperAZO generally means a better quality so it's hard to say if you'll get CMC's or not. Unfortunately, the 2nd log was too long for me to see what was right. One thing you can try if you're willing to use a Ritek CD-R for testing. Take a PS1 CD-R you have that you know works. First, test it in the PS1 and make sure it still boots correctly. It could be your PS1. My PS2 suddenly just only booted to a black screen and had to be thrown away. If your PS1 still boots a known working CD-R, it's not the PS1. Then, take this CD-R, create an image of it, and then write that image to a Ritek CD-R and test that CD-R. If that Ritek CD-R doesn't boot and you haven't tried Ritek CD-R before, it is most likely that that PS1 doesn't like Ritek CD-R media. I've seen cases were certain brands of CD-R aren't liked by PS1
  4. Hello , first time writing on this forum . So i've used imgburn before but never had this problem. I was trying to create a windows 8 bootable dvd for a friend of mine and i came across this error message. http://prntscr.com/7h63qr I tried again with a different dvd , same thing. 5. Brain explosion, you are right - ImgBurn does indeed load a messagebox - sorry I was trying to run the /? on the setup instead of the installed exe. *facepalm* I had hoped the setup file could be made to enumerated any switches such as the /NOCANDY one but maybe this is out of your control? I had to wage all kinds of war against Trend Micro to get ImgBurn to install, only solution was to create an exception for the temp directory so it could download, not even a Save As would work! In the end the AV was blocking the 3rd-party apps from being displayed even without running the switch, but it sounds like you probably already knew this Thanks again
  6. I have so mp4 files that I want to burn onto a disc to watch on my dvd player. I convert the file to a video file in imgburn then use the write image file to disc setting using the newly converted file that I made. The process works fine burning but when I put the disc in both my dvd players I just get an error message saying disc cannot be played. can someone please help me? I have wasted 5 discs so far and I really want to get it on a disc so I can watch it and let my friend borrow it. Thanks
  7. Recently I get the following strange error message whenever I try to create audio CDs by using .cue files (.flac or .ape) saved to an external USB drive. "TabletPC inking error code. The property was not found, or supported by the recognizer" Please note that no Tablet PC is involved and I could burn fine with Image Burn any file saved in this USB drive in the past! Please advise on how to proceed! Thank you! PS: Log attached
  8. Its 2015! The only reason many of us use optical media is to "Archive" information to a format that will not go bad is 10 years (MDisc). The size of an optical disc is now so much smaller than a hard drive that you have to span discs in order to really create an effective backup or archive. I'd love to keep using Imgburn. It has always been my favorite. It has fallen behind in this one area. It doesn't interactively span discs when writing files and folders that have sizes larger than the media. This doesn't look hard from a flow chart perspective. I guess it is work though...Best, MW
  9. I have a lot of nero image files (.NRG). I need to be able to burn them without the dredded " Multisession / Multitrack images not supported, must be single session / single track image " So far Nero is the only software that I know of that properly supports multi session / track burns. it would be a great option. currently I have to extract all of the files in a NRG image and recreate a new disc with the extracted files, and I have lost some of the data also the recreated disc(s) was damaged. Thanks
  10. Today I tried to create an image of the playstation game "Risk". Till now I had no problems with playstation games but this one gets stuck at "Analysing Tracks... (Session 1, track 2)" Any idea?
  11. I tried to make image file of audio CD friend gave me, but I can't play the image file eighter with Windows Media Player and VLC player. So I tried to verify the image against original disk and there were number of mismatches, which makes the image unable to read. However when reading, it says operation successful at end. Is there someone who ever made really successful image of audio CD? How? I made image file for DVD video disk, but never was reading disks to backup them to image with ImgBurn - I am pretty novice to that. In attachment there is a log file from today tryout... ImgBurn.log
  12. Hi, after I cloned the HD on a new Samsung SSD with their migration tool the primary 100MB system partition if now full with 95 MB and I can't create ans system image: No disk space ... (Normally this 100MB-partition has only 30MB used and 70 MB free space and no problems). Samsung told me to either - keep cloning until it's ok, or - delete this partition and repair it, or - use another software to create the system image I want to use the Ultimate Boot CD to delete and repair the 100MB-partition. Ok, I can create a CD from their iso, but I want to save some internet HowTos of this topic as a pdf-file and create the bootable cd with this pdf-file. Which (1) bootimage from where (2) shall I use to create the bootable CD that can operate with the boot-partition of my laptop ssd?
  13. Ok well it looks like you were right... After some google searches, Disc 2, and only Disc 2 is protected by SafeDisc. I confirmed it by looking at the Daemon Tools database. That said, I still cannot create an image from this disc. I tried it in Daemon Tools and I get this... What do I do now? Does this mean my disc is damaged or is this some SafeDisc trick? I figured if IMGBurn cannot create an image, Daemon Tools could. Read operation had hit a ECC/EDC bad (recoverable) block (824) Disc imaging failed. Elapsed time: 00:00:49
  14. Why would disc 2 be copy protected and disc 1 isn't? This is a very old game too... Also I meant create an image, not burn.
  15. Hi guys, I could use some help! I am trying to create an image of Rainbow Six Raven Shield, the computer game. I own the original discs which I have kept in a cool area, in their original case, in a box. I was able to create an image of the first disc no problem, but disc 2 gives L-EC Uncorrectable Error. It will retry 20 times before failing. At the end it says 'IO Error.' When I put the CD in it autoloads up fine, so why can't IMGBurn burn it? I ran the disc under cool water and then wiped it and let it try. Unfortunately that made no difference... Here is the log for you. I 18:58:02 Operation Started! 16. I would like to congratulate everyone for an excellent program. It has not failed me. I was using another program to write mp3 files to a CD. The new CD played on the following: 1. My personal computer 2. A Bose player 3. A Blu-ray player. It did not play in my 2013 CD mini-van CD player. I then created a CD with ImgBurn and it played on all four of the above devices. This may have been mentioned before, but I have not seen it. Please add a function to copy one disk to one or more disks in one step. This would include CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray. Everything on the original disk should be included; all data, labels, etc. An option would be to create an image file simultaneously. I did not like creating an image and the copy the image to a blank disk.
  17. When I bought this laptop one of the first thing I did was create a 10 GB recovery disk through the windows 8.1 control panal under recovery. I got these files((see above). But I could not boot it. I have a Lenovo Ideapad but don't know how to boot it. I tried F12 but that did not work. I tried to make it bootable and used rufus but rufus said there was no bootable file in the files and folders above. I know it is the recovery disk because of this file: ReCreatePartitions.txt : convert gpt create partition primary size=1000 format quick fs=ntfs label="WINRE_DRV" assign letter="W" gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001 set id="de94bba4-06d1-4d40-a16a-bfd50179d6ac" create partition efi size=260 format quick fs=fat32 label="SYSTEM_DRV" assign letter="S" create partition efi size=1000 format quick fs=fat32 label="LRS_ESP" assign letter="I" gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001 set id="bfbfafe7-a34f-448a-9a5b-6213eb736c22" create partition msr size=128 create partition primary size=436224 format quick fs=ntfs label="Windows8_OS" assign letter="T" create partition primary format quick fs=ntfs label="LENOVO" assign letter="O" shrink minimum=12288 create partition primary format quick fs=ntfs label="PBR_DRV" assign letter="Q" gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001 set id="de94bba4-06d1-4d40-a16a-bfd50179d6ac" exit Lenovo's laptops with efi are not noted for being bootable except when one correctly uses F12. 18. I tried to create a recovery disk iso but the hidden files could not be copied. How can I do that? Can't transfer bootmgr etc files
  19. It dosen't matter if you burn the Video_TS folder or the ISO made from that folder assuming the folder is compliant. You can burn first the folder and make an ISO if you wish, than burn that ISO again and again. It's just easier to create the ISO direct from the folder and skip the copy from disc to ISO part. The ISO is a copy of the disc exactly how it is, it's just a container of the Video_TS folder. Make sure you burn the ISO in Write mode not Build mode.
  20. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm accustomed to burning Video DVD's directly from my editing software so I'm not intimately familiar with some of these file formats.... If I burn these discs as ISO files in the Queue service, a standalone DVD player will not be able to read them. The final product must be readable in a standalone DVD player. Edit: For clarification, I used my editing software to create the Video_TS folder, then used ImgBurn to create the .ISO image. One location online says that if the .ISO is created from a DVD-Compatible Video_TS folder then the DVD player will play it. I just can't afford to have the recipients of these discs not be able to view them. The guy who made the discs last year did a terrible job and my job has to be spot-on or I'll be criticized and compared to him.
  21. You can burn as many disc you want from the Build mode. Go on the Device tab and set the number of copies but that will use the same drive. You better create the ISO and set the queue function to use all the drives consecutively.
  22. I was thinking about this question and I think it's irrelevant. Apparently the Queue feature only works for .ISO files. I need to have Video DVD's that can play in any player when I'm done. Burning .iso doesn't help me. Is there a way to make automatic, consecutive burns in build mode using my Video_TS folder as a source to create viewable DVD discs?
  23. ImgBurn can create a giant wav when reading an audio cd image (it just adds a wav header to what's normally the bin file), just run that through an MP3 encoder.
  24. Have installed ImgBurn for three months, no problems until yesterday. Running Windows 8. Trying to create a CUE file from a folder of MP3s. It hangs at 99%. I click OK anyway and it lets me save the CUE file. I then burn the CD - 79mins 11secs. All fine until the last track which starts to skip halfway through. Using Verbatim CDRs. Any ideas? Thank you.
  25. Yeah, only .VOB, .IFO, and .BUP files should be put in VIDEO_TS. I've never seen anything ever in any AUDIO_TS folder so I'd say leave it alone. I don't know what would happen if you put a folder in VIDEO_TS but I wouldn't recommend it. I thought ImgBurn ignored adding files and folders to VIDEO_TS that weren't standard DVD Video compliant, but I've never tested it to be sure. I know some DVD ripping utilities couldn't properly handle a VIDEO_TS if it had something other VOB, IFO, and BUP files or extra folders. DVD players and software probably wouldn't have an issue, though. You could also just place all the photos in the root directory. That way, you don't have to navigate to a sub folder in Windows Explorer. That, too, is something I wouldn't recommend and just suggest you continue using a sub-folder you create in the root directory on the disc for storing photos. However, it's something that should still work.
