mmalves Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Where are your Verbatim blanks made? It's printed on the box/spindle/etc. Try a lens cleaning disc on that drive.

We see alot of problems here relating to external enclosures and the crappy chipsets that run them.

As the drive is unable to read the disc I can only assume that it's made a duff burn - that or the reading ability of the drive has taken a serious nose dive. Have you tried cleaning the drive at all? If not, that might be an idea.
