QuickLikeNinja
Hi folks, I seem to be having similar issues to the guy HERE. I have a Sony Vaio VGN FW11S with a Matshita BD UJ220S Blue-Ray read/write. I didn't use it (the writer) much when I first got it in Sept 2008, but recently I have. I first noticed that my standard DVDR's were getting more and more coasters from any burning app I used. I went to a firum for advice and they suggested Verbatim, which I bought, and they seemed to be ok until recently I am getting more and more coasters from them too. The error code, after Google'ing, seems to suggest media issues, but after all the sucess I have had from the same DVDR drum, I am not so sure... I have the latest firmware and I have ran it in test mode and have recieved no errors, but I have absolutely no faith in this writer... Here's my log, I would be grateful for any pointers you folks could give: I 22:09:53 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! QuickLikeNinja
Well, I've just bought a CD/DVD cleaner disc and used it twice and the operation failed again. Still using Verbatim discs. Any ideas, or does it mean I need to start browsing for a new drive (annoyingly this one is 1 year and one month old!)? QLN
LIGHTNING UK!
Well I guess you could try another spindle of Verbatims but if they don't work either then get a new drive - and not a matshita / slimline one.
