bb90 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 (edited) Topic says it all. I have tried to burn a DVD DL and regular single layer DVD also. Both stop at Writing LeadIn... Theres nothing wrong with the discs or disc burner since I just burned a DVD DL and DVD on ImgBurn using Windows XP after ImgBurn on Windows 7 did not work. Maybe its a simple fix, I am not sure. Thanks in advance. Here is the log: I 19:00:05 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! mmalves Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Look for updated drivers for your motherboard's chipset and/or IDE controller (use SIW if you don't know their brand/model). By the way... I 19:03:01 Destination Device: [1:0:0] HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H55N 1.03 (G:) (ATA) There's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) but use your WinXP if you're going to update.

I updated the DVD driver to 1.05 FW, and still have the problem. Also I have an ASUS P5P800 motherboard. I looked for chipset drivers, and they didnt have any. Do you have any other suggestions? LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 JMicron controller for the IDE port? Try the latest driver from here: ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/jmb36x/XP_Vista_Win7/
bb90 Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 Fixed it. I installed the Intel Chipset Software Update Program v9.xx. It automatically updated the drivers. Thanks for the help, hope this helps anyone with the same problem upgrading to Win 7.
